A lovely morning. Cape St. Lucas in sight.  Ridges of mountains similar to the scene witnessed on the Isthmus of Darien, though not so high.  Our first glimpse of the sand banks in the distance.  In the evening a great change in the weather, it grew so cold and disagreeable that we were glad to go to early bed, to get warm.  Having anticipated a warm climate, we had not been provided with flannels or other like clothing.  Sister Francis sick enough, but trying to keep about and attend to waiting on us.
