The Daughters of Charity are missionary in spirit and in reality.

The first missionary sisters began work during the time when St. Vincent de Paul  and St. Louise de Marillac set out for Poland.

Today, the Daughters of Charity serve in over 90 countries. In the United States, sisters can serve as missionaries in Kenya. Sisters may also volunteer for the “Mission Ad Gentes.” In this special missionary calling, a sister makes known her desire and willingness to go wherever she is most needed in the world.

Totally given to God, in a spirit of humility, simplicity, and charity for the service of those who are poor since 1633.
